Ruenroeng-Casimero rematch in Beiing May 25
By Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing IBF 112 pound champion Amnat Ruenroeng (17-0, 5 KOs) will defend his IBF flyweight title against John Riel Casimero (21-3, 13 KOs) in the champion’s sixth world title defense on May 25 at the Diamond Stadium in Beijing, China. The fight will take place during the IBF’s 33rd Annual Convention taking place from May 23-27 at the Hotel Nuo in Beijing
. Ruenroeng won a unanimous decision over Casimero in his fourth defense in June 2015 in Thailand. He then defeated Myung Holee (19-5-1) for his fifth defense in December, also in Thailand. Casimero who has been inactive for eleven months, is currently the mandatory challenger.
Jimmy Chaichotchuang, promoter of Amnat Ruenreong and leading IBF promoter in Thailand said, “Ruenroeng will get the opportunity to fight in front of boxing family from around the world. The IBF boxing family who attend the convention will join us at the Great Wall tours on May 24 and the annual banquet on May 26.
