Pathompothong stops Arienza
In a nationally televised promotion, Thai light welterweight prosect, Patomsuk Pathompothong (19-1-1, 12 KOs) was impressive in stopping Filipino, Jonel Gadapan (8-4-0, 5 KOs) at the conclusion of round seven of a scheduled twelve round bout at the Baan Khao Hom School, Pong Nam Ron, Chantaburi, Thailand on Friday. Pathompothong was the aggressor from the opening bell and controlled the action in the early rounds. In round six Gadapan stepped up a gear and outworked Pathompothong to win the round. The hard punching Thai dug deep in round seven and punished the Filipino, connecting with hard head and body shots throughout the round, that visibly hurt the import. During the interval the corner of Gadapan retired there boxer who was in no condition to continue. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang said. Patomsuk showed he is improving to stop Jonel Gadapan. Patomsuk is ready to fight the best light welterweight boxers in the world.
In the co-feature, scheduled eight round bout, classy featherweight Vacharakrit Senahan (24-4-1, 12 KOs) stopped Filipino Randy Gorilla Megrino (12-11-2, 7 KOs) in round three when the referee crowned the Thai at 2:05. Megrino had been in action against several world class opponents and holds a 2011 win over Japanese Ryuta Miyagi. Beijing 2008 Olympian Amnat Ruenroeng (3-0, 1 KO) outscored experienced Filipino, Lowie Bantigue (21-20-7, 12 KOs) over six, of a super flyweight bout. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang.
