World rated Fahsai Sakkreerin (34-2) scored a ninth round knockout over Randy Megrino Singwancha (10-8-2) of the Philippines at the Krirk University in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday. IBF #11, 130 pounder Sakkreerin started the fight in top gear and in round two hurt the Filipino with a left rip, left hook combo. Simgwancha came to fight but was outworked in all of the rounds by the hard hitting Thai. In round seven, Singwancha was dropped by a low blow and was given necessary time to recover by referee Somsak Sirianant. A perfectly delivered right hand left hook to the head dropped the Filipino who was on unsteady legs as the bell sounded to end round seven. Round eight had Sakkreerin hooking off the jab effectively and in round nine a right hand bomb dropped Singwancha for the full ten count. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang said, Sakkreerin is ready to fight the best in his division. He has improved under new English trainer Rian Munton. I would like to have Sakkreerin box in a IBF Eliminator and get a world title opportunity. We have the financial backing to do that. I would like to thank IBF President Daryl Peoples and Chairman of Championship Committee Lindsey Tucker, who I met in Las Vegas on June 1st, for there support. Singwancha was coming off a KO win in round one over good Japanese boxer Ryuta Miyagi in Japan. In the main supporting contest powerful Bangkok 122 pounder Mike Tyson Tawatchai (21-0-1) outscored Jilo Merlin (10-9-1) of the Philippines over eight action rounds. Tawatchai boxed aggressively scoring with solid head and body shots consistently. The taller Marlin boxed skillfully on the back move. Both boxers were staggered by solid shots to the head during the contest. At the conclusion, Tawatchai had his hand raised in victory. Tawatchai is scheduled to clash with former world rated Australian Daniel Iannazzo on July 22nd in Melbourne. Mike Tawatchai had a good warm up fight for his next contest against classy Australian Daniel Iannazzo, said Jimmy Chaichotchuang. Iannazzo is very good but Mike is like a mini Mike Tyson and will cause an upset. Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr. (6-1) scored a second round TKO over Verasak Chuanan in junior flyweight contest Hard punching Thai, Samartlek Chaiyonggym (5-2) scored a second round KO over Lukrak Kiatmungmee at mini flyweight.
