Kiattaweesuk beats Olin By Ray Wheately–World of Boxing
World ranked IBF #11 bantamweight Thanthong Kiattaweesuk (20-0, 14 KOs) scored a fourth round knockout over Lande Olin (5-3) of Indonesia to retain IBF Pan Pacific title at the Mahare Corporation in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday. Kiattaweesuk dominated his opponent as he delivered accurate combinations from the southpaw stance. Olin was dropped in round two and again in round four and referee Kringsak Kronghong counted the import out at 0.46 of the round. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang said, “Kiattaweesuk showed his world class skills again in winning in impressive style today.” Chaichotchuang continued, “I am sure Kiattaweesuk can mix it with the best bantamweights in the world including IBF champion Johnny Perez, Vic Darchinyan and Joseph Agbeko. He only needs the opportunity.” Lightweight division, Patomsuk Pathompothong (7-0, 4 KOs) scored a four round points decision over Sirisak Sithsaithong (1-3) There was special interest in the debut of Fahlan Sakkreerin Junior (1-0) who scored a knockout in round one over Visanlek Sithsaithong (0-1) who was also making his professional debut. Sakkreerin is the son of former IBF world mini flyweight champion Fahlan Sakkreerin, Sr., who is regarded as one of the best boxers Thailand has produced. Manager Jimmy Chaichotchuang said, “Fahlan Sakkreerin, Sr., a great champion from Thailand and world IBF champion who I had the pleasure to manage and promote.” Chaichotchuang continued, “His son, Fahlan, Jr., looks to have the skills that could take him to the very top in boxing.
