IBF Pan Pacific bantamweight champion Tantong Kiattaweesuk (6-0, 4 KOs) will defend the title over twelve rounds against Jonel Alivio (8-5-1, 3 KOs) of the Philippines in Bangkok, Thailand tonight. Kiattweesuk scored impressive wins over experienced Dondon Jimenea by knockout in seven rounds and classy Korean I-Hon Kim via twelve round decision in 2007 bouts. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang said. "Kiattweesuk has great potential he was a national amateur champion and made the transition to the professional ranks very well. He has the skills to reach the top in boxing. We are looking for fights for Kiattaweesuk in the USA. He is a regular sparring partner of Fahsung 3K Battery and helped him prepare for his bout against IBF jr featherweight champion Steve Molitor. 3K Battery commented that Kiattweesuk is a better puncher than Molitor." The Kiattaweesuk vs Alivio bout plus undercard will be televised throughout Thailand on channel seven.
