Sakkreerin Defeats Metiaman
By Ray Wheatley at Ring Side 23-03-2007:Hard hitting Fahsai Sakkreerin (22-1) scored impressive second round knockout over Abia Metiaman (21 -7 - 4) of Indonesia to capture the vacant IBF Pan Pacific Featherweight championship at Petkasem school of Science Management in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday. In round one the 5.7" Sakkreerin connected with accurate straight lefts, right crosses and left hooks to outwork his taller opponent. In round two Sakkreerin trapped Metiaman on the ropes and unloaded a power left hook - right hand combo to the jaw of the import to drop him for the full ten count.In other action former bantamweight Seagames Silver Medalist and Muay Thai champion Tantong Kiattaweesuk (2-0) outclassed Noldi Manakae ( 8-6-1) of Indonesia over eight action packed rounds. Kiattaweesuk connected consistently with power head and body shots to win all contested rounds. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang said. Nakhonpathom Prison inmate Patomchok Patompothong (5-0) blasted out Nopparat Sakpothong in two rounds of a Bantamweight contest. Sakpothong was on the canvas three times from solid head shots.
